What are your opening times? 

Monday-Saturday 11am-5pm, Sundays and Bank Holidays 11am-4pm. 

Do you have parking? 

We don't have a car park but there is free road side parking all along Hartfield's High Street and generally there are plenty of spaces available. At the weekend and during the school holidays, parking is also available at St Mary's C of E Primary School which is a short 5 minute walk away from us at Pooh Corner (but this is strictly out of term times). 

Can I reserve a table?

We no longer take regular table reservations for our tearoom, we look after customers on a first-come, first-serve basis. At peak times there may be a wait for a table, in which case you would be more than welcome to look around the shop and museum until the next table comes available. 

Afternoon teas still need to be pre-booked in advance. 

Are you wheelchair accessible? 

As Pooh Corner is a Grade II listed cottage which was built around 300 years ago, it is unfortunately not the most wheelchair friendly place as  it was not built with wheelchairs in mind. We do have wheelchair users visit us and we will always do our very best to accommodate. Our front door is wide enough for most standard sized wheelchairs to access through, there is a small step by the front door. There are several steps around the building: two  steps into the shop, another step down to the toilet and two small steps into the museum. The toilet is unfortunately not  wheelchair accessible due to the small confines of the building.  

Do you do gift vouchers? 

Yes, we do e-gift vouchers which can be redeemed in our shop, tearoom and online store, these can be purchased here.

We also do afternoon tea e-gift vouchers which can be purchased here if you would like to gift a loved one the special experience of a traditional afternoon tea with us..... 

Where is Poohsticks Bridge and what Pooh sites can I see on the Ashdown Forest? 

We recommend visiting us at Pooh Corner first before heading up to the forest as it is easy to get lost. One of our team members can talk through how to get the bridge and tell you where to see Owl's, Piglet's and Pooh's Houses. If you feel like going for a longer walk, we recommend heading up to the Enchanted Place to see the memorial plaque dedicated to A.A Milne and E.H Shepard. We can also point you in the direction of Roo's Sandy Pits, the Heffalump Trap and Eeyore's Sad and Gloomy Place if you're feeling adventurous!

Do you allow bicyles?

As Pooh Corner is a very busy place, we do not allow bicycles in our teagarden due to health and safety. On arrival please speak to a member of our team who will show you a safe space to park your bikes.

Do you allow dogs?

We are dog friendly and dogs are allowed in the tearoom and tea garden, we do ask that they are clean and well behaved. If you are bringing your dog to our tearoom, please keep your four legged friend under control and on a lead at all times. Please also be respectful to other customers who may be less comfortable around dogs. 

Can I hire your tearoom for a private party/event?

Pooh Corner is a very small tearoom and due to the busy tourism nature of our business, it cannot be hired out for birthday parties, private events etc.
